Ecotherapy
Ecotherapy, or Nature-based therapy is an experiential and relational form of therapeutic work that draws on the resources and wisdom of the natural world.
Intentional engagement with nature and ecotherapy has been shown to have many positive benefits on people’s physical, emotional, and mental health, and has been shown to help and support people struggling with anxiety, depression, transitions, trauma and PTSD, attention deficits, and relational issues.
We may plan an active or passive role in engaging with the natural environment during these sessions, such as walking, somatic exercises, breath work, mindfulness, exploring, playing, and more. Ecotherapy is appropriate for all ages and abilities and can be modified to meet your needs.
I offer ecotherapy sessions in your local park, neighborhood, or trail and can work with you to find an accessible option.
